Valley Pet Door

5 Easy Steps

STEP 1

MEASURE YOUR PET

Door height is measured on your pet from the floor to the top of their shoulder when standing.

Then measure the width of your pet’s chest and hips–use the widest measurement.

To ensure your pet fits through the door comfortably, add one or two inches to both dimensions.

STEP 2

MEASURE YOUR GLASS

Measure WIDTH of Glass

Measure WIDTH of Glass

• Remove both side stops on the bottom of door - insert putty knife into crevice between stop and door frame.
• Gently tap back of putty knife until stop is detached from door frame.
• Measure the width of the glass.

Measure THICKNESS of Glass

• (Perform right after you measure width of glass - when the stop is already detached from door frame) We need the overall thickness of your glass fron the inside surface to the outside surface.
• Insert putty knife between door frame and glass at a perpendicular angle, slide putty knife back until it touches inside of door frame.
• Slide putty knife up to the edge of the glass, meausre the thickness.

Measure HEIGHT of Glass

• Perform the same steps mentioned in 'Measure width of glass' but remove the top and bottom stops instead of the sides.

LoĒ (or Low Emissivity)

• Refers to a surface condition that emits low levels of radiant thermal (heat) energy

Visible Light Transmittance

• The amount of light in the visible portion of the spectrum that passes through the glazing material and glass unit

Fade Transmission

• The portion of energy transmitted in a spectral region from 300 to 600 nanometers. This region includes all of the ultraviolet energy and part of the visible spectrum, and will give the best representation of relative fading rates. The lower the number, the better the glass is for reducing fading potential of carpets and interior furnishings.

Solar Hear Gain Coefficient

• The amount of solar radiation that enters a building as heat. The lower the number, the better the glass is at preventing solar gain.

STEP 3

PICK YOUR GLASS

1. Select from a choice of colors to match the trim of your sliding door:

2. Take note of whether your door opens from the left or right when standing outside at the door.
